
Edinburgh Festival Carnival 2025
Join us for Scotland’s most vibrant multicultural celebration as the Edinburgh Festival Carnival takes over the city centre on Sunday 13 July!
A dazzling explosion of music, dance, and international culture, this free event features over 700 performers in energetic parades and on live stages throughout West Princes Street Gardens. Expect energetic choreography, synchronised live drumming and spectacular costume designs as international performers join community groups from across Edinburgh.

Sunday 13 July 2025, 1-6.30pm | West Princes Street Gardens
From 1pm on Sunday 13 July, 750 local and international performers will parade through West Princes Street Gardens with music, dance, costumes, and puppets. This year’s Edinburgh Festival Carnival features three parades:
- 1pm Parade: The World in One City – a colourful procession of local, national, and international community groups
- 2pm Ross Bandstand: Latin rhythms from Edinburgh’s Cumbiatones
- 3pm Parade: Edinburgh Chinese Art & Culture
- 4pm Ross Bandstand: An infectious blend of reggae, afro and Latin grooves from Glasgow-based Samson Sounds
- 5pm Parade: Latin American Community Association of Edinburgh (LACAE)
- 6pm Ross Bandstand: High-energy Soca and Caribbean sounds from Scrappy Sinon & Tropical Storm Band
The afternoon also features sets from DJ Dynamite.
From 1pm to 6pm Performances across two vibrant zones packed with dancing, drumming, and circus performances.
